These stain-grade oak louvered saloon café doors are master crafted with the environment in mind. These swinging café doors are made with solid wood core stiles and solid oak wood rails and louvers that are finished with furniture-grade oak wood veneers, which results in high quality louvered swinging cafe doors with a greater heft that are warp resistant with a reduced impact to forestry thereby protecting our environment. Why do wood veneers result in a better product? Most wood products are finished with high quality real wood veneers. Much like solid pieces of wood, veneers are also made of real wood. Aside from veneers being the environmentally conscious option, veneer adds to the durability of the product. Veneering dates back to Ancient Egypt, but today’s high-tech methods maximize each log to minimize waste. To make veneer, logs are sliced into extremely thin layers. The thin slices of wood are then bonded to a thicker wood core, creating a product that is as beautiful but stronger than conventional wood. Due to the wood slices being bonded to a secure backing, the veneer will not warp, crack, or otherwise suffer from environmental-related damage such as from heat or humidity like conventional wood can. This cafe door set comes as a pair of doors as photographed. Each cafe door leaf measures 14-1/2"W x 46"T x 1-3/8"D. Our oak louver saloon swinging café doors are also thicker than typical cafe doors making them more durable for heavy or commercial use. The cafe door set weighs about 26 pounds. Included premium brass finish cafe door hinge set features auto-close, bi-directional swing and a convenient hold-open feature that allows one or both cafe door panels to remain in opened position when desired.
