the magnet did not hold and the necklace fell off. Fortunately for me I was still at home so my necklace was saved, however, it is highly likely that had I been out my necklace would have been lost. I recommend if you buy these not to use with any item of value.

This 10 Pack of Silver Magnetic Lobster Clasp Jewelry Necklace Bracelet (Rose Gold) work well for some applications. The magnets can come undone if the necklace is too heavy. Otherwise, they work well. They look nice and are easy to use though. Well worth it if you struggle putting on latch necklaces.

whoever invented this idea is a genius. They do tarnish after constant wear but it so worth it. I have actually attached them to the loops on the end of beaded glasses chains and use them as snap on lanyards for my badge at work. They are pretty strong magnets. My badge has never been pulled off bt mistake by something I am carrying. This makes me think they would be very secure for a necklace which hangs higher on your neck and is much lighter than a badge with keys attached.

Purchased a set of magnetic clasps with the main purpose of adding a couple of inches to the length of a necklace. Of course, the magnetic clasp would also make it very simple to close the necklace while wearing. Unfortunately, the color mismatch was too much. But... These make great refrigerator magnets for displaying small medallions. In my case, I used two of them to hang a fairly heavy medallion on the side of my tower computer case.

I was hopeful that these rose gold magnetic clasps would be like the gold and silver ones I ordered from another merchant. I was very happy with the gold and silver clasps from the other merchant. They have one lobster claw clip that you attach to the end of the necklace and a closed circle that you attach the clasp of your necklace to. They're small and light, but powerful magnets. My problem with these rose gold clasps is that they are too heavy and too long. They have two lobster claw clips on both ends, which are surprisingly large. Worst of all, their weight. The magnet dragged my necklace down my back and my necklace felt like it was choking me. If the magnets were smaller and less heavy, it would not do that. I have no issues with the small clasps I purchased elsewhere. Maybe these would be fine on a bracelet? I am returning them for a refund. Sad that these did not work out for me, because rose gold is my favorite metal and I need rose gold magnetic clasps. The magnets work well though, they are powerful and make it easy to put on jewelry. It just doesn't stay in place.
