These cost a little more than I think they should given how cheap plastic products are these days, but they do perform as I had hoped. My metal sieve isn't fine enough to filter out the soybean particulate when I make homemade soymilk, so this strainer does a much better job. It does get clogged pretty quickly, so I still have to massage it around to get the milk to strain through. It doesn't get everything out, but most of it. The soymilk still has a little sludge at the bottom, but it's much better. This is also easier than my nut milk bag which I have to hold with one hand while I pour with the other.

These little strainers are a good buy at under $10. They don't completely replace cheescloth, but they are good for some similar applications, like making larger batches of teas with loose leaves or even collecting the teas when making iced teas, which are often boiled in a pot with water and you'll need a very fine strainer to completely collect the leaves. These will also work well with juices, by separating the pulp and seeds out of the juice. I really like these for this type of use - they mostly keep your hands clean, but they're definitely a complete substitute for actual cheese cloth, which is for more versatile.

Even though it’s plastic, this mesh strainer works really well. I’ve used it for juice, kefir, and nut milk, and it catches fine bits that other strainers miss. The mesh is tight and consistent, and cleanup is easy. You get two in the pack with different mesh sizes, which is useful depending on what you're straining. For the price, it’s a solid buy, especially if you want something lightweight but still reliable.

I expected a fine mesh, and this is really fine. It seems to be well built so for my own purpose of making homemade kefir it works well too.

This is a plastic strainer with very fine mesh. It does a good job at filtration for cold fluids such as fresh juices. The description states it is food-grade nylon that is BPA free. I tried it for a hot brew of tea with fine leaves. While it worked well at filtering, I noticed that it left a tea-stain that cannot be washed away with water. I would recommend using for cold and luke-warm fluids. It might work for hot fluids also, but the unwashable staining implies a deep material interaction that advises some caution.

I make my own yogurt at home and this eliminates the need for cheesecloth when straining. The size is a little small for the amount of yogurt I ususally make but I also don't strain all of it to make Greek yogurt. The round part hooks nicely onto bowls or other storage containers, keeping the strainer from knocking over easily. The "fabric" lining the plastic "bowl" part is super fine but still allows liquid (in my case, whey) to drain out. I like that the handle is not too long so it doesn't take up a bunch of room when storing. Unfortunately, it's not dishwasher safe and has to be hand washed. If I could clean it in the dishwasher, I would have given it 5 stars.
