This is hardcore filter for house humidifier. This filter can prevent mold and have a longer shelf life. Pros: hardcore and shape will not change when you use it. Cons: the edge of filter may be a little sharp and need to be careful when you install this filter by yourself.

These leaked the first time I installed them. They are definitely more dense than the standard pad. I had to rotate it around so the leaking stopped. I think they either leak if you turn the humidifier up or they don't provide a good humidity. I think will stick with OEM from now on but too late to return now.

Although these panels work in place of my Aprilaire #35 they have to be replaced much more often. They are about 3/16-1/4" thinner than the Aprilaire and the minerals build up much faster. I just had a leak which I now attribute to the generic ones I've been using as when the lime builds up the water flows out the back of the panel and into the ductwork and onto the floor. I'll now only buy the original Aprilaire panels. Cost more but will probably last much longer between changes.
