I never actually made it to the playing stage with this violin so I can’t speak to sound quality.-The violin felt very light and came off as cheaply-made to me.-It arrived without its bridge in place and its strings sort of loosely in place/falling to the side of the neck so you can put the bridge in yourself. However there are no instructions, so you get to just figure it out using one photo in the Amazon listing as your best guess.-Then you get to try to tune the strings without having a clue what you’re doing, with the pegs slipping immediately with each attempt. (Turns out that’s normal, but you have to Google these things to figure out how to keep them from slipping, what each string should be tuned to, etc).For a beginner violin it’s not intuitive at all. I returned it because I had thought the slipping pegs were a sign of cheap junk. I’m still glad I returned it; I spent about 20 bucks more and got a much better product from a competitor that came with excellent instructions, its bridge in place, strings almost in tune, and bow pre-rosined.This manufacturer needs to improve their customer experience. Until they do you’re better off spending a bit more to have a lot less frustration/guesswork.
