I have an ancient stainless kitchen sink, that lost it's strainer/stoppers decades ago. Pictured is one of the cheap metal mesh strainers that finally rusted out after a couple years. I couldn't believe I found these beautiful drain covers, in a size big enough to cover my old drains! Older sinks have larger drain openings, so most "modern" strainers are too small. Time will tell as to longevity, and I am hopeful it will be quite a while, since I am the only one here using the sink and am pretty gentle on all things. A kind of funny note about these - they come two to a pack, and mine were so stuck together I had to spray them with cooking spray to get them apart! I was afraid to use much force, as they are hard plastic. But they seem quite sturdy, and the edge is flat to the sink so food particles can slip on past into the cup. I noticed a spoonful of water remained in the bottom of the drain cup, even though there are little holes there - due to those holes being much smaller (capillary action, maybe?) but it does drain away eventually. Easy to clean too. I highly recommend these bright, fun sink drain covers to give any sink an instant face lift! God bless!

I just hated the open hole of a disposal in my sink - stuff fell down there all the time, I accidentally ground up a baby spoon, and I didn't think it was safe with little kids and little hands. So I bought these things, which are pretty and cover the hole very well. However, there is the tiniest edge that little bits of food get stuck on - they can't fit under to wash down, nor can they fit over to get caught in the little basket. So they just sit there unless you physically lift up the stopper and rinse them down. A minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience all the same. I'll keep using it, though, because it does the job of keeping silverware and other small things out of the jaws of death.

Love how cute this is, however it is very thin plastic and I feel as if it will crack at anytime. Probably would not buy it again my old one I bought at a big box store lasted for years before needing to be replaced
