I use these in my ramen as i boil the flavorings prior to adding the noodles and they get slightly bigger and taste really good in my opinion. has the fish flavoring and great topping for many ramens. Throw this in prior to adding your noodles on the stove or whatever and let them warm up and soak up a bit of flavoring or even after. They are good and I will be getting more as it was a generous size and quite a few of them in the packaging. Recommend.

SEAYOFA 5.3oz Freeze Dried Narutomaki Fish Cake - Japanese Ramen Toppings for Instant Noodles, Udon, Soup, Camping Food & Emergency Supplies, Authentic Asian Cuisine. I’ve never used this kind of thing on my ramen, before, but I like it! It adds a tiny bit of flavor, and a little bit of protein, but mainly, it just adds bulk and some visual flair. It even inspired me to add an egg, lol! And, not that this really matters, but I really love the graphic design of the packaging. The price seems a bit much, but since I don’t have anything to compare it to, I don’t know if that’s unusual. You do get quite a bit, though, so it’ll last awhile. I would definitely order this again.

5.3oz Freeze Dried Narutomaki Fish Cake is a visually appealing but ultimately disappointing ramen topping that left me underwhelmed. I wanted to like this product, especially because of its convenience and long shelf life. At first glance, the slices looked cute and colorful, and I was hopeful they'd add a nostalgic Japanese touch to my instant noodles. Unfortunately, that’s about as far as the positives go. The flavor and texture were completely off compared to authentic narutomaki from Japan.I felt let down as soon as I tried it. The taste was flat—almost nonexistent—and the texture, even after rehydrating, was dry and a bit crumbly. I grew up with real Japanese fish cakes in my udon and ramen, and this just didn’t come close. I also found it concerning that it’s made in China, especially since the quality didn’t reassure me. There’s a lack of depth and care in the product that makes it feel more like a visual prop than actual food.I thought the price of $14.99 was reasonable at first, but after using it, it felt like a poor investment. You’re getting over 30 servings, but when none of them are enjoyable to eat, that bulk count becomes meaningless. Compared to genuine Japanese fish cakes, this product doesn’t offer anything close to the same experience, and I wouldn’t repurchase it.The worst part was the gradual disappointment. I kept trying to find ways to use it: topping on ramen, mixing it in soups, even as a garnish for a bento box. But each attempt only reminded me how flavorless and texturally unpleasant it was. It might add some color to a bowl, but it doesn't add joy or taste, and that’s what truly matters in food.

I chose this freeze dried Narutomaki Fish Cake based on it being low in carbohydrates. After I received the product, I was able to look at the nutrition facts chart. There are two ingredients on the list - the first ingredient is wheat and the next is fish - minced cod. This is low in calories at 12 calories per serving. The nutrition chart shows no vitamins in the product and 1 gram of protein.I tried this Dried Fish Cake as recommended - in a ramen dish. I followed the directions included in the listing. Choosing two pieces of the fish after the dish was ready, I could not taste much of anything. In my opinion, the fish cakes had very little - if any - flavor. I had also fixed some ramen for my husband without the fish cakes. I took a bite of my ramen and a bite of his, I noticed no difference in the overall flavor. Wondering if I had cooked the flavor out of the fish cakes, I tried one dry just out of the bag, I couldn’t taste it either. Double checking, my husband tried it, cooked and dry, and agreed.I have nothing negative to comment. The expiration date is 23 months from the date received. Based on the details above, I would not repurchase.

These little freeze dried fish cakes are a nice addition to ramen and any type of Asian soups. Be sure to let them cook for a while since if they're not ready they are a bit gummy. If you are making cup ramen I would recommend getting the fish cakes to settle to the bottom of the cup before adding the water to cook. The flavor is mild, adds a little bit of umami and complements most Asian soups.

Seayofa Freeze Dried Narutomaki Fish Cake can make your packaged ramen look a little more authentic. The resealable bag holds 5.29 ounces of small circles of fish cake with a recognizable spiral design. I boiled some pieces with my packaged ramen and an egg for lunch. The petite sized pieces cook quickly, are easy to bite and chew through, and have a mild flavor. If boiled longer, it can absorb some flavor from the broth that I cooked it in. My family thought it was a cute addition to their ramen noodles. The ingredients include cod mince, potato starch, wheat starch sorbitol, salt emulsifier (glycerol fatty acid ester), red pepper powder, and gelatin. Each 3g Serving contains 12 Calories, 0g Total Fat, 2g Total Carbohydrate, and 1g Protein. It is a Product of China. The product that I received has a best by date of 23 months from the date that I received it. Overall, it can add a bit of protein and a pleasant color to a simple bowl of ramen.

Arrives in the bag shown.Best before 03/25/2027.If your a noodle fan and like fish cake, then this will add an extra flavor to your noodles. This kind of reminds me of packets you get with noodles that you empty into the bowl. Also sometimes noodles isn't filling enough and this may help fill you up.
