The overall process was SUPER simple, and the new battery has been working GREAT!At first, I thought the battery was the wrong one because the controller wouldn't close correctly. However, I readjusted it and it fit VERY snug. I didn't have to really force it, but it was a tight fit.

Don’t know about longevity or durability yet. Just installed them today for the first time. Controller lit right up and took a full charge. Installation was very simple. Don’t buy a new $60 controller when you can probably fix it for a fraction of the cost and repair it yourself.

Installed easily. I used some snips on the battery tray, but otherwise it was plug and play. Opening the controller was a harder more delicate task than installing modifying the batt tray.Note if you have battery issues, safe some time and greif and replace the microusb connector. Each gen is different so be aware

Had this battery for a lil over a month and it won't hold a charge. Dies when not in use. My newer Dual Shock 4 with the oem battery holds a charge for a while but the OEM one in this earlier controller had died. Was hoping this battery would restore the battery life in that controller but it didn't.

So first off, you need to know that this is an aftermarket replacement - not OEM equipment from Sony. The plug is a tight fit in the terminal - DON'T PLUG IT IN till you are ready to close the controller! I plugged it in and now it won't come back out. If I ever need to replace this battery again, I will likely need to cut the terminal wires and solder a new battery in. That being said, it's not a deal-breaker. The other factor is that the battery is slightly longer than the OEM one. I ended up removing the battery tray and cutting off the short ends, as well as nipping some of the plastic around the trays mounting points because the wires connect to the battery at a different location from the original battery. Again, not the hardest modifications, but fidgety when working on delicate electronics. Reassembling the controller was another adventure in and of itself. On the whole I would not recommend changing the battery yourself unless you are handy with electronics and have a get-er-done attitude. But if you are, then this is well within your ken as, aside from a few mods, this is entirely doable. I would recommend this battery - but maybe sand down the plug before inserting it into the socket.

Ok from one review ive read about the connector being pretty snug putting it in, they wasnt lying, i realized while i pushed it in, its gonna be stuck and im gonna have a hella of a time taking it off if i need to, sooo its gonna be pretty tight fit, and u might break the connector if u try to take it off, i think sanding the male connector down might loosing it a bit, if not just keep in mind its a one shot deal, once its in its not coming off, i figured well if the battery fails i can get a new or a used controller, instead of risking on breaking it.Now on battery life, its trucking good, spent playing COD for 2 hours and its still holding 3 bars on the charge :D on a stock battery i would be about 2 or 1 bar on the battery :)

Has transformed PS4 controller life on a single charge from a couple of hours to about a week. Installation is a bit fiddly but not too bad if you are prepared for it.

Remplacé les batteries d'origine en fin de vie de mes manettes il y a presque 1 an, pas de perte de puissance constaté dans le temps.Vraiment impressionnant dans la tenue de charge et ne prend pas plus de temps à charger que les anciennes. Je recommande vraiment ce produit.
