This silicone mold is smaller than I was expecting, but is true to the size in the listing. It makes a small temple-shaped candle that is fairly detailed. It is made of thick silicone that stands up well to pouring and demolds easily. I would recommend this silicone mold to others, and would purchase again.

I was really drawn to the intricate Ancient Greek relief design of this HOMYCOCO Artemis Temple Cup mold, hoping to create some unique candles. Unfortunately, despite being marketed for "candle container making," this mold is simply not good for making candles.The silicone appears to be too stiff and strong for wax, making it incredibly difficult to demold a finished candle without significant damage. Every single time I attempted to remove a wax casting, the wax came out broken into pieces, especially around the delicate details of the temple design. It's incredibly frustrating to invest time and materials only to have the wax creations shatter.It seems this mold is more suited for resin or perhaps plaster, materials that are more durable and flexible upon curing, allowing for a clean release from such a rigid mold. I was quite disappointed that this is more for resin than for wax, given its multi-purpose advertisement. If you're buying this specifically for candle making, I would strongly advise against it.

I used this mold for resin projects, but the intricate details didn’t come out as clear as I expected. The design is really beautiful, but it seems better suited for materials like plaster or candles where shadows can highlight the texture more. If you’re making resin pieces, the fine details might get lost unless you add extra steps like painting or staining. Overall, a lovely mold, just keep in mind it might work best for crafts that show depth in a different way.

The silicone mold is absolutely beautiful. It is great quality. It is easy to pour in and demold. It has beautiful details to it. It is very easy to clean. It is very sturdy and durable.
