I never review, I’m here to say:1) this was a nightmare to provision with Ring Central, whereas a Yealink phone I bought was super easy. I could never get this to work with RS.2) I paid around $200 for the unit at the time, they refunded me only $100 after shipping it right back, never successfully used. Now I see it’s on sale for around $100. Word must be getting out, hard stop you guys.

The phone physically looks good but there are a couple of issues with it as shipped. First, they included a 6" Ethernet cable. That would only work if you used this as a wall mount but you can't do that without a wall bracket (not included). Second, they didn't include the stand for the base. Without that you can't use it as a desk phone either. Maybe this would be useful as a replacement for a dead phone that you could pull the missing pieces off of but it is not usable as is.

We ordered this to replace our aging Cisco 525G phones for our ringcentral voip system, due to the standard expiration of SSL certs no longer being updated for our older phones. Yes, it's pretty common, so no surprise there. As soon as I powered it up, it was ready for provisioning. This is great, since this is a usedrenewed phone, I didn't have to worry about this 8851 still being locked to the previous owner's VOIP system like we've ran into before with other renewed phones. Very happy with this as it was ready to go, no hard resetting, no admin password resets, just plugged into our networked, provisioned, good to go.
