My home office is part of my bedroom, the joys of a small home.I have most of what I need within arms reach, but when I don't, I tend to rely on wheeling my chair a little bit over to my bookshelf. Due to the carpeting, my chair wheels don't want to roll.So I ordered this chair mat, and got it without the personalization, so I'm not sure if that will impact use in any way. The top side is felted, but smooth, and wheels roll smoothly on it. A plus IMO is that this means the wheels are silent when rolling, unlike my husband's plastic chair mat for his chair in our family room.The bottom has rubberized dots and flowers that secure it into place, rather than the tiny cleats I've encountered with other chair mats. I'm not sure how well these dots will wear over time, buit so far, so good.I like the look of it and the shape works well for the area I'm using it. Not a bad product, considering that it costs substantially less than other chair mats for carpeted floors I've looked at.
