This a a 2 pack of rectangular black rugs. The top has a woven feel and the back doesn't have anything on it. The thickness is minimal, which I had expected as it is a chair mat. However, it does not stay in place and is not firm. It is flimsy and flexible like as if it was just fabric. It makes it easier to wash in the machine, but I wouldn't use it in places where I needed padding or a firm rug The ends are curly, they turn upwards and you could trip if you're not aware. I will use them as play mats when I play outside with my kids instead. I tried using them in the kitchen as spill mats, but the edges not staying down has been a little bit of a problem.

My husband and I both work from home and have our small business set up around our dining room table. We have a washable carpet under the table, and both of our rolling chairs would get hung up on it, and scrunch it up. These mats have been a saving grace! They create a protective barrier for the carpet as well as a surface to cover the gap where the carpet meets the floor, so that there's no more scrunching. The wheels of our chairs roll easily over these mats and for a pack of 2, this was an amazing value. Even though they are coarse, I don't mind the feel of these mats under my bear feet. The grooves are slightly pleasant, in an odd way, and these are easy to vacuum. I'm so pleased!

We have had similar mats before under a rolling office chair on a hardwood floor, and they quickly showed signs of wear where the wheels hit. This mat is thicker and looks like it will last much longer. This is a worthwhile purchase! It also vacuums well and cleans up nicely. This one is a keeper!
