As someone who works in a body shop and demands both comfort and durability from their workwear, I couldn't be more satisfied with the Dickies Men's Slim-Straight Pants. Purchasing several pairs for my work rotation, these pants have exceeded my expectations in every aspect.First and foremost, the fit is impeccable. The slim-straight design offers a modern silhouette without sacrificing comfort or mobility. Whether I'm bending, crouching, or reaching, these pants move with me effortlessly, making long days in the shop much more manageable. As expected from Dickies, the quality of the materials and construction is top-notch. The fabric is sturdy and holds up well to the demands of my work environment, resisting tears, stains, and abrasions with ease. I have no doubt that these pants will withstand the rigors of daily wear and tear for a long time to come. But perhaps the most surprising aspect of these pants is the confidence boost they provide. There's something about slipping into a well-fitting pair of Dickies that makes you feel like you can conquer the day. And I have to admit, they even make me feel a bit "bonita," as the saying goes.In conclusion, the Dickies Men's Slim-Straight Pants are a solid choice for anyone in need of dependable workwear with a stylish flair. Comfortable, durable, and confidence-boosting, these pants embody everything you'd expect from the Dickies brand and more. Whether you're working in a body shop or tackling tasks around the house, these pants have you covered. Highly recommended!

I read on another review that Slim fit run small. That was good news to me because I originally ordered the 874 original fit in a 34x34 and they were HUGE. I'll give you the complete story. With normal denim jeans and pants, I wear a 32x34 (or a 33x34). If I wear boots, I wear a 32x36 (or 33x36). I never buy slim in anything because I have larger than average thighs. I'm thin but I am not skinny. I am 6'1" and weigh 170 lbs. I originally bought the Dickies 874 original fit pant in a 34x34 and they were too big. They had way too much room in the thigh, butt, and waist. After reading other reviews, I took a chance and ordered the Cargo Slim hoping they would fit and they did. As far as the fit, I chose "fit as expected." Let me explain that as well. The cargo pants in slim run small in the waist but large in the thigh and butt. So I can say that run both small (in the waist) and large (thigh and butt) depending on where I look. Therefore, I chose "as expected" because they after reading reviews, they fit as the other reviews stated they would. So the moral of the story is this: If you have non-skinny thighs, don't be scared to order slim. Order up one size in the waist. I would say the 34 waist fits closer to a 33. The cargo pockets are telco closure and the cell phone pocket worked with my iPhone 5S with a thick Otter Box case. The phone disappeared completely in the pocket. My review is based solely on fit and not durability because I have not worn these pants to work yet. With that being said, the material seems to be slightly heavy and seem very durable. Only time will tell. I hope you found this review to be helpful.

First review I've written here but as someone who always has an issue buying pants I feel compelled to since it seems my search for work pants has finally ended. I went with this style based on reviews. Usually have a problem with pants fitting properly in the legs and waist without it looking like I'm sagging my pants if worn low, or if pants are worn at the waist it just looks really bad if in the back because I have a rather small butt. I'm 5'10 !60 lbs with 30" waist and the 32" 32" fits perfectly all 3 pairs when sitting below the waist which is how they are supposed to sit. There is some flex in the fabric and the cargo pockets sit flat enough to where they are barely noticeable. My job requires me to carry more than I can fit in normal pockets and I need move around alot while looking at least a little professional. They are a little tighter in the thighs then I would normally prefer but the slight stretch in the fabric makes it tolerable. Cell phone pocket fits i phone 5s in otterbox case almost perfectly, anything bigger might be an issue. Wash and dry permanent press setting and they come out wrinkle free. As someone else said if you have any junk in the trunk you may want to look elsewhere. Order for hip size not waist size otherwise I could see fit being an issue. Only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is the ugly dickies tag which removes easily, just cut outer threads with an exacto knife. Only other complaint is that fly is short so you have to unbutton to do your business. If you have a slender build these should work for you. Hell I actually have been complimented on my pants by women when wearing these which has never happened before. Even my girlfriend who has no problems criticizing me for my fashion choices complimented me saying said they looked really good. I never would have thought a 25 dollar pair of dickies could get that done!

Please read for long-winded story to help you with waist sizing, different colour sizing and leg (inseam) length!I normally wear a size 29 waist in mens Jeans and can sometimes get away with a 28 waist depending on the material if they have 1-2% elastane (stretch) but material like 100% cotton / no stretch in a 28 waist will be just too tight for me (even when wetting them and doing squats etc to stretch them out.) Good trick try it : )So the long story long is I purchased a pair of Dickies slim fit cargo pants - Desert colour on a different site (NOT AMAZON) that were a 29 waist 32 leg (inseam) (29x32) and when they arrived they were not cargo pants but the Dickies slim fit tapered leg - Desert Sand colour (WP596DS) 29x32 they look like normal work pant / chinos but with a cell phone pocket on right leg (NO cargo pockets) and have the metal waist hook (not button). They fit me perfectly but I did notice that for a 32 leg (inseam) they seemed rather short (which they were; they were really a 31.5" leg (Inseam) so if you want a 30" leg get the 32" leg and get them taken up (Hemmed) because if you buy a 30" leg you'll very likely end up with a 29.5" Leg for some stupid reason. So I then started a search for what I wanted (as the original seller (not amazon) listed them wrong and didn't have the cargo pants version) so searching for the cargo pants version they were all sold out at Dickies Australia and other sellers in Australia.I ended up checking Amazon.com.au and seeing they were available via Amazon/Prime free shipping and nearly half the price as they were selling them in Australia (Amazon.com.au approx $60 AUD / Dickies Australia $100 AUD) tho the desert sand colour prices changed dramatically with sizing 30x32 = $89 AUD but the 28x32 = $58 AUD)So only issue was I wanted a 29 waist but they don't sell a 29 waist... from what I could see they never did the in-between sizing for this style: eg 29,31,33,35 etc so the big question was go up to a 30 waist or down to a 28 waist? So I first ordered a 30 waist with a 32 leg (30x32) in the Dark Navy and Black - Dickies Slim Fit / Straight leg Cargo Pant also found a Moss (green) Dickies Regular Fit straight leg Cargo Pant 30x32 which was on special for cheaper $40 AUD to see the difference between slim fit and regular fit.I ordered these 3 only as they were all being shipped from Amazon Australia where the colour I wanted (desert sand) was only in the US so shipping would take longer to check sizing and they were more expensive $89 AUD as I said above. The size 30 waist was massive and ridiculously too baggy for me (I prefer more fitted (but not tight fit) than baggy and more hugging the butt a bit than like I’ve crapped my pants - Tho you may prefer otherwise, each to their own!)The Regular Fit was as expected even baggier then the slim fit and looked terrible on me.So I returned them all for a refund and ordered the 28 waist (28x32) in the desert sand, dark navy & black Dickies Slim Fit / Straight Leg Cargo pant and this time they were slightly cheaper again for some reason and all coming from the US. (the desert sand 28 waist were approx $30 cheaper than the 30 waist desert sand.)So they all arrived…28 waist / 32 leg (inseam) again not really a 32 leg (inseam they are all 1/2” (half an inch) shorter than labelled so be warned! As for waist sizing they are all different depending on colour which is common with materials:Black is the tightestDark Navy was in the middle (between the black and desert sand sizing)And Desert Sand was the loosest waist (and best fitting for me!) which is great as they are more like a 29 waist as they are the same size in the waist as my other pair (Dickies slim fit tapered leg - Desert Sand colour (WP596DS) 29x32) Yep! now you see why I crapped on about all that at the start!I’d say seem the 28 waist desert sand cargo pants have a button instead of a metal hook (like the 29 no cargo pocket pair) they are a little looser and fit like a 29 waist.I would say the Black is more like a true 28 waist seem darker materials seem to always be tighter and less give/stretch (It gives me a muffin top and wedgie - they are that tight), the Dark Navy would be a 28.5 waist (slight muffin top and no wedgie) and the Desert Sand fits like a 29 waist (even tho labelled 28 waist) (it fits perfect - no muffin top and no wedgie) which worked out great as I wanted the desert sand colour more than anything to fit. I was tempted to wet the Black and Dark Navy pants and do squats to see if they would stretch out (which they prob would as they are 65% polyester and 35% cotton) but decided it wasn’t worth the money as they did give me a muffin top and they looked too workman for what I wanted so I returned them.I’d prefer them without the cell phone pocket (when you’ve already got a cargo pocket) but hey if I was a handyman it would be very useful.I will also add as I did see others have written in the reviews the zip fly is shorter than normal and when pulling the pants up the zip’s pull tab will gouge into your balls so be careful of that! (Can’t say I’ve ever encountered this issue before with a zip fly) but there is a first for everything! They are great fitting and looking cargo pants so worth the precious goods risk haha; But maybe if you’re more gifted than me this might be a big* no no! (*pun intended) Hahahaha!Hope this Novella was helpful and put a smile on your dial.To help with sizing further, measuring my waist where the pants sit on me (below waist but above hips) I’m 33” (33 inches) but I normally wear 29” (29” inch) Jeans / Pants… confusing I know but that’s how it is. Hope this helps!28x32 - Dickies Slim Fit / Straight Leg Cargo Pant (65% polyester and 35% cotton)Product codes below:(WP594DS) - WP (work pant?) - 594 (style code) - DS (Desert Sand) Colour(WP594BK) - Black(WP594DN) - Dark Navy

A little thinner than I would’ve liked, but will get me through most of winter in Toronto. I bought 2 other Dickies pants before this style, and they were all too baggy and unflattering. This style is perfect. I’m usually a 30-32 inch waist, I got the 32 and the fit was comfortable. Will probably wear a belt with it anyway.

Exactly what I needed for work. Something fashionable and work orientated. Should easily last me 3 years just like the last Dickies trousers did
