This book was one of my son's favorite bedtime stories when they were little. I have decided to give it as a baby shower gift to my great-niece and continue the tradition hopefully!!

My five year old enjoyed reading this and couldn’t wait to see what was coming next to the den. Very enjoyable to read.

The drawings in the book are charming, the story is cute until the end. I would have liked a different ending. I gave this 4 stars because I like to see some sort of message in childrens books and I feel that is missing in this one. Maybe for the ending, more about sharing, either all the other animals huddled together for warmth or maybe even the bear allowing them to stay. I guess it is sort of a surprise ending. I think the younger set would still enjoy it, especially if you whispered the rabbits words.

Entertained a 4 year old with wide eyes while waiting for food at a restaurant. Encouraged conversation and curiosity. Two thumbs up

Such a well written and cute story! My nephew's late momma called him her "bear" because he was a little grumpy waking up each morning before school. This will be a meaningful Christmas book for him.

My 4yrs daughter enjoyed this story but it's not one she asked me to read again. Normally, she'll ask me to read a story at least twice so I took that to mean she only liked it a little. I liked that the tone was at her level but still sounded intelligent.

Some of our young grandchildren absolutely adore this book. They would not dream of waking that bear! On the other hand, some of them were scared at the thought that the bear was going to wake up and hurt the little animals. So keep that in mind when purchasing this story. If your children tend to be the fearful type, you may want to stick to "Ten Apples Up on Top".

My 3 year old granddaughter adores this book. I read it to her at least 3x a day every day when I visited her. She still has her two older brothers read it to her as well.

It was a simple story that lends itself to sequencing events. The children enjoy the funny ending.

My husband works nights so I try to equate waking him up like waking the bear in this book. Since our bedroom is a loft and the place is loud acoustically, two loud young boys (4 and 5) can make it hard to get quality rest. Since reading this book to them regularly, they've been far more considerate and quiet while he sleeps reserving loudness during dad's waking hours, outdoors etc...
