If you play bassoon, and you don’t own a bocal brush, I already know you have a whole ecosystem growing inside of your bocal. School-owned instruments? Layers upon layers of built up gunk that get passed down from student to student. Think about that. Not everyone cleans their bocal….I ask everyone (bassoonists) if they own a bocal brush and you’d be surprised how many say no. I’ve seen the gunk and filth that can build up myself—trust me, you don’t want to see it. Green and brown and black gunk. Save yourself from a dirty bocal—buy this brush and use it. Warm water and soap, scrub it through several times until the water runs clear. It may take a long time if you’ve never cleaned your bocal. You’d be surprised the stark improvement that happens when you clean the bocal. Tight, thin sound to suddenly amazing projection and clarity. And no practicing needed for that improvement to happen. Just cleaning :)

makes an awful sound when brushing the bocal, but it works better than a swab, which has gotten caught and ripped when i tried to run it through my bocal. as long as you don’t mind the sound, it works well.

THIS BOCAL BRUSH DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT IS DESIGNED TO DO.... IT IS WELL MADE, EASILY CLEANED, CLEANS THE BOCAL WELL. A KEEPER!
