I would like to lead with, the company is fantastic. Their sound bars, are not. By any means. I own both the A51 and A512 models. The A512 has so many constant problems, that it has been nearly entirely unusable, and has now after 6 weeks of ownership, quit working entirely. Sound quality varies at random, the subwoofer and rear speakers regularly don't output. The subwoofer makes entirely random noises on its own when it does work. The equalizer seems to change at random as the tone will vary on its own while playing video. I had hoped this system would outperform my 14 year old Visio 2.1. It does not. In any shape, form or fashion. Even at best, the sound quality is significantly worse, even after the software update. Accompanied by the 14 various constant software issues, the A512 is entirely not worth owning. Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable brand. I really wish I could say either of these systems are any kind of decent, but they aren't. I will update this review with videos if the system decides to work again at all...*Edit 5/22. HiWill is an outstanding company that does stand behind their products. Their biggest issue is software. They have released a new software version for the A512. I will update the software, and report back here.

Sound is good when the eARC system is detected otherwise you have to unplug hdmi cable and plug back in. This product may go back if I dont get a firmware upgrade that fixes this.Update: My human error has me recanting my poor review. I was impatient at letting the port switch over. My Bad. I really dig this product. Its worth the money. The update is a nice addition. The tech support from Hiwill is the bomb. I want to but another now. LOL

I ordered the #Hiwill soundbar with subwoofer and satellite speakers for use in our vacation home to keep things simple and clean. Setup of the soundbar was as simple as connecting the power cord and an HDMI cable. The subwoofer was placed on the side of the room and the satellite (rear) speakers connect via speaker cord to the subwoofer. The sound is clean with no noticable distortion and louder settings. There's a remote that allows you to tweak the settings such as volume, rear volume, bass, etc. I took of one star because the soundbar display is always turning on to tell me the audio source type whenever a show changes or a commercial starts. It's very distracting and when it's dark in the room, it's very bright. I wish there were a way to turn the display off. Otherwise, the sound is quite excellent. I like this soundbar a lot and it elevates the movie watching experience. I even use it to stream music from my phone when cooking and/or cleaning.

We've been using this for a few weeks. It was fairly easy to setup. The subwoofer connected just by plugging it in, we put it towards the back of the room since the two rear speakers plug into the subwoofer. Not every video is suround sound so not everything we watched had audio for the rear speakers. The subwoofer is hit or miss, we would some times hear feedback, or cracking in the subwoofer, and that was with the standard setting of 0, we hadn't turned up the bass. The front speakers work great, they are much nicer than the built in speakers on the TV. The one note, is there is a slight delay in the sound, which you can tell if you have the TV sound on, we hear a slight echo since the sound is slightly off. We are using the optical connection to connect this to our TV. The TV is a Insignia Amazon Fire TV. So not sure if the slight delay is due to the TV or the speakers.

This is not a cheap sound bar, but I am impressed with the sound quality of the bar. I connected to my TV using the ARC port (my TV is old so doesn't have the newer eARC capability, unfortunately) and the sound worked instantly without any issues. I have also been able to use my Amazon Fire TV remote to control the sound from the bar (the TV audio is automatically routed to the soundbar). The sound is excellent with good range and the two rear speakers really help provide a 5.1 surround sound experience. The sub is heavyweight and connects to the soundbar using Bluetooth (the rear speakers connect to this, not the main soundbar). I was concerned this would introduce audio latency and lip sync issues, but have had none with a variety of material - local TV, streamed etc. It is also possible to connect a phone to the bar using Bluetooth as well. This is also simple and very easy to do.My only issue is that the connections on the soundbar are at the rear. When using the wall mounting, there is not enough space at the rear to connect into the bar without the cables have a tighter bend. I got around this by padding the bar out from the wall slightly (about 1cm further) and have no issues with cable bends now.Overall, though, I am thoroughly impressed with this soundbar setup and wished I had got it sooner.

The subwoofer will not connect and the sound is better than the TV but nothing to write home about. It's really rather tinney.Easy enough to set up (apart from the woofer) but a little bit on the pricier side for what it is and can do.

When I innitially ordered this soundbar I was a bit concerned it might be too difficult for me to set up as I do often struggle where technology is concerned , but the instructions are very clear, and walked me through it step by step, it even gave detailed instructions on how to use the remote to alter it so it's just right for my own listening preferences.Performance wise prior to getting it all connected and set up how I wanted it I was curious just how much if at all it would be able to improve the audio experience over the TV alone, but it is most definitely a noticeable improvement, and I'm very impressed, not just when listening to music, but conversation on the TV is also clearer.Overall if I can do it then I would class fitting it as very simple, it most definitely makes a positive change to all the audio over the TV alone, and it is so far working very efficiently, everything you need to set it up and use it is included, even the batteries for the remote, so I'm very pleased with it, and more than happy to recommend it.

The Hiwill 5.1.2CH Dolby Atmos Soundbar is a fantastic entry point into creating a home cinema experience, offering an almost full Dolby Atmos setup at an impressive price point of just £240. While it doesn’t deliver the same precision as ceiling-mounted speakers for overhead sound, its upward-firing drivers do a solid job of simulating that immersive audio effect. For anyone looking to elevate their movie nights, this system delivers significant upgrades over standard TV speakers. The setup includes a main soundbar, two rear speakers, and a wireless subwoofer. The subwoofer acts as the hub for the rear satellites, with pre-paired wireless connectivity to the soundbar, giving you flexibility in placing the subwoofer toward the rear of the room. As a low-frequency emitter (LFE), the subwoofer’s placement isn’t overly critical, making setup even easier. The system is straightforward to install—connect the soundbar to your TV or media device, plug in the power, and you’re ready to go. Even for someone new to sound systems, the clear instructions make the process hassle-free.The soundbar itself brings clarity and depth to your audio, dramatically transforming the soundstage in the room. The two rear drivers and side-firing tweeters create a true 5.1 surround sound experience, while the upward-firing speakers add a vertical dimension that enhances immersion. Whether watching movies or just listening to TV shows, the dialogue is noticeably crisper, and the bass adds a welcome richness. That said, there are some limitations worth noting. DTS audio support is absent, so be mindful of your source material if DTS is part of your media collection. Additionally, this system benefits most from being placed in a square room with the TV centred on a wall for the best surround sound effect—corner setups may compromise the experience. It’s also worth pointing out the odd emphasis in the product description on firmware upgrades, as there’s no indication of where or how updates would be accessed. The brand seems to exist solely on Amazon, which raises questions about long-term support.Despite these minor drawbacks, this Hiwill Soundbar system provides excellent value for money. It’s an ideal solution for anyone wanting to experience Dolby Atmos surround sound without committing to a more complex or expensive multi-speaker setup. The combination of wireless subwoofer, crisp audio quality, and cinema-like immersion makes it a standout choice for an affordable home theater upgrade
