I purchased a cheaper version that was 5mm and was broken on arrival! This one worked and was big enough to pinch open. Solid gold! Jeweler wanted $50 so I saved $30 with this purchase. It was easy to open to put on. At first I thought the connecting loop was closed, but as I put it under a magnifying glass, I was able to open with a tweezer.
