This safe meets specific features I was looking for. 1 - It is DOJ certified, and 2 - It has a security cable so I can have it secured to my bed frame instead of drilling holes in the top of my night stand. An added bonus feature is a USB port for backup power. I really like the smooth padded lining of this safe and it's even padded under the lid. I also like that you can have it on silent mode so it doesn't beep. It was very easy to set up, I programmed the biometric reader on multiple fingers in different positions even at an angle so I can open it just by reaching over without even getting out of my bed. This safe was also rated #1 on a YouTube top ten pistol safe review that I watched. I am very happy with this safe, it was money well spent and it was priced below what I was willing to spend.

First off all, one reviewer stated fingerprint works for everybody. It DOES NOT open with anybody fingerprint.... if you read the directions they are very very clear. My fingerprints are programmed. I've tried with my other fingers that were not programmed and it does not open. I have had my adult son try his fingerprints... and it DID NOT OPEN! Follow the instructions! I love this safe. Lots of room inside and I love the light. It's very sturdy and does the job!

For the first day everything worked as designed: The manual code was set and opened the lid as it should, the fingerprints were read and activated the lid as designed. On the second day the code and fingerprints still unlocked the lid, but sometimes the lid did not spring open as it should. It was then necessary to lift the lid manually. And now, more often than not, when the unlocking mechanism does not spring the door open, the door will not automatically re-lock on closure. It’s then necessary to enter the code manually and activate the unlocking cycle again before the lid will re-lock properly. This is now the normal condition.I installed new batteries to replace the ones provided but the mechanism is still not working reliably.I sent this message to the support address noted on the enclosed operating instructions, hoping for the best and seeking to resolve this before leaving a negative review. Alas, my server says the support address given is not a valid email address. So, mechanical malfunctioning and lack of customer support gives me no alternative but to leave a negative review. I will be returning this unit.

So far this gun safe has done everything I want. The biometric works amazing on all my fingers and my wife’s. Open up quickly and never had an issue. Seems sturdy. Only issue I’ve had is I haven’t been able to get the keypad passcode to work. But I didn’t try very hard.

It is easy to setup as well as very durable. I hate that it takes 4 AAA batteries but it has 2 keys and a usb port for a power failure. It also has a led light inside when you open it so you can see everything and your not fumbling around. You can fit 2 pew pews in there with there pew holders.
