This cable does exactly what I expected it to do, it allows you to hard wire and of course charge your battery powered Google Nest camera. Why would you need this when the camera is battery operated you ask?! Well, so did I, but unfortunately living in a colder climate, the battery power might not last as long as winter! Before you know it, your Google Nest camera won't work since the battery is depleted and the last thing you want to do in winter weather and blizzard like snow storms is to grab the ladder to retrieve your camera from whereever you mounted it to recharge it, only to then mount it again in the same freezing cold conditions. This is where the hard wired cable connection becomes very appealing. This aftermarket set comes with a 10W USB power supply and a very long USB to Google Nest camera plug cable, works seemingly as well as the original Google retrofit cable kit, but at a much lower price.

I've had my Nest Cam Outdoor battery cameras for a few years now. I've had to charge them more often than I have liked when they remain on battery power only. I don't like the price of the OEM power adapters, so I was happy to find this one.The white power supply and USB cable appear to be well constructed and weather resistant. One thing that I don't like is that I couldn't install it within an outdoor electrical box. This is because the USB cable sticks too far out and doesn't bend at a right degree angle from the power supply. Additionally, because the USB cable is not permanently sealed to the power supply, I decided to connect it within an outdoor weather resistant box.I like that the white cable matches the trim of my house, so that it is easily hidden. I like the price and that it appears to be well constructed. We'll see how it lasts a Michigan weather later in the year. For now, I am pleased with this outdoor adapter and I believe it will fit the needs of anyone well. Just keep in mind that the USB cable does not seal to the power adapter.

I have a google nest outdoor camera but with our move into our new home, I couldn't find our charger, as I was searching for one I came up on this Power cable compatible google nest charger and decided to give it a try. As soon as it arrived, I connected it to the camera via magnetic connection and into the plug. Shortly after charging, I was able to put it back up outside and it was working perfectly without any issues. I am happy to report back this charger worked for me! I love that the cord if long, in the event I decided to charge it outside or the wall outlet is too far away. If not, it worked just fine close to the wall outlet.

This cable worked perfectly to power my Nest Cam and extend it to the exact corner I needed. The original cable short, so I used the battery -- but I wanted a permanent setup without having to climb up and recharge anything every few weeks.The 25-foot length gave me way more flexibility in placement. I was able to route it cleanly along the trim and out to where I wanted the camera—no problem at all. The magnetic connector clicks in securely, and so far it's held up great.This is great if you're trying to mount your Nest Cam in a tricky spot or just don’t want to deal with battery swaps. Just works, thank you.

This google nest wired charger worked out of box. The cord is very long. However, the USB adapter could use some improvement. It sits tall in the outlet and is even taller when the usb cable is plugged in. That makes it impossible for the outdoor outlet cover to close. That’s not good when it rains. It should be made like the OEM charger that’s flat and the cord is on the side. Luckily for me, I do have an OEM charger so I swapped them and used this one for the indoor camera. It’s a good product especially for the price, which is 20% of the OEM charger’s price.
