If you want to find something that will entertain toddlers, children, teens, and adults alike for hours this is the product for you! We purchased two of these for our daycare and it has been a huge hit among the kids, our teen helpers, and the providers alike. The teen spent a good hour perfecting "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" as a group effort, and two of our providers managed to get most of "Heart and Soul" down (the piano isn't quite large enough for the last bit of H&S). The toddlers just love running across it and hitting the keys to hear the different noises. We pull them out about once every other week as a special treat and it's always a huge hit and everyone has a great time with it. We don't have anything else that's not a video game system that is as successful at entertaining everyone for a long period of time.

The sound quality was very squeaky and lacked a true piano tone. The vinyl material was very slippery but easy to clean. The keys are comfortably spaced apart for adults. The accompaniment is corny but the children enjoyed it. Just as the piano played in the movie Big looked like fun so too was this toy piano.

It's a neat toy and kids have fun with it, but I wish the keys were hard and not soft.Also, my toddler is too young to turn it on and off I didn't want to turn it on and off every time he wanted to play with it, so i left it on for most of the day and the batteries only lasted for about 1.5 days. I wish it came with a cord!

And no way to correct it. Meaning, you can't play with anyone else, not even for fun. And you are teaching kids the wrong pitch to recognize, if you are having kids play with it. Sooooo frustrating. I didn't take it out of the box for a couple months, because the kids I bought it for were delayed in coming. Now that I have, I wish I could return it. It's clever, fairly responsive, and..... useless mostly. If you could just modulate the pitch in some way, it would be great. But without it, there is very little to nothing that can be done with it unless you really care nothing at ALL about the tone. It's so far off it's laughable.

The piano keyboard mat was a gift for my young grandchildren. It worked perfectly right from the box, had no odors at all and has a volume control so that Mom and Dad aren't stressed by all the kid's fun. I hope it encourages the the grandchildren to learn to read and play music rather than just having great fun running up and down the keyboard as they do now at this young age. Their daddy was trying to show them how to play songs so, in time, maybe they will pick it up. All in all it made a delightful gift.

I can't review the fun or functionality of this item because it arrived used. The outside shipping box was perfect, but the item box itself was damaged - clearly had been opened and I'm guess returned and then resold to me. When I went to put batteries in it to see if it even worked, I realized why: no spring in the battery compartment to hold the batteries in place. I'm super annoyed as it is a big package and returning it involves borrowing a neighbor's suv to fit it and driving a 20 mile round trip to the shipping store for me. Amazon said they will pay for shipping and I should get a refund, but man what a hassle.

I bought this for a friend's daughter's second birthday. I got it out of the box when it arrived to test it out as some reviews have reported issues upon arrival. I popped in 4 AA batteries (not included) and turned on the speaker unit. It worked great and has adjustable volume and tones. It had a hookup for an mP3 or CD player, but I didn't mess around with it, so I can't speak to its functionality. The kid loved it and it seems pretty durable for stomping, etc.

My grandson loves music and has many musical toys, but this one is a big hit. He's only two so all he really does is run across the keyboard, but he has learned how to turn on the pre-programmed music and adjust the volume (BEWARE: IT MIGHT GET LOUD! Little Jimmy Page reference for ya, but for real, the volume is crazy loud) But the rest of us have tried it and it is fairly easy to bang out a tune with your feet and to isolate single notes. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far we've got no complaints.
