My husband needed these shims for the back of his Excursion. He always has something to work on on his truck. He went from a 2.5 degree, tried an 8 degree, and then went with these. They are exactly what he needed. They arrived earlier than expected as well.

Due to the fine piece of ... American craftsmanship I'm working on (Chevy Astro), I've had to experiment with different degree shims.These Rubicon Express shims were not only $20 less than any of the others I purchased, but they had a paint finish on them, whereas the more expensive ones were raw steel. It's not like there are a ton of flaws to be covered up on a steel wedge.The actual degree of these shims was not in the description, but a simple search for the manufactures website gave me all the info I needed.I have to drill out the center hole for larger centering pins, so what. When something like this is manufactured they can't make parts for every make/model/design/etc.I'm hoping these are the last set I have to buy.Review specific to: Rubicon Express RE1468 Aluminum Degree Shim

These are very well made, quality steel, with a decent spot face for the center pin. The description says "Aluminum" but the Rubicon Express part number is for a pair of 6 degree steel shims.

These are GREAT! Trimmed 1/4" off either side and used them to double the caster on my '48 Ford truck front leaf springs.Definitely not aluminum.... which is perfect. You don't want aluminum in this location.

Work as they should. I ordered these based on the part number not the description. These are steel shims, NOT aluminum as the description says. If you are going to use shims make sure they are steel. The aluminum will fail.
