Our household is apparently unusually demanding about toasters. Last year, we ordered the best one we could find on Costco, but we disliked it and returned it. Then we ordered the most promising one we found on Amazon, but disliked it. We gave up on finding a better one and kept it, assuming we’d just have to live with it.But this toaster solves the problem! It’s better than the others we tried. In addition to working better than the others we tried, it also looks better!Our only complaint is that the marking on the control knob is really hard to see. We plan to add a mark to make it more visible. However I’m not docking any stars for this because the toaster works so well otherwise and looks so good.

Works well. I wanted crispy bagels, and I got crispy bagels. This is my first toaster with a dedicated bagel setting though. I set it on low before pulling down the lever and hitting the bagel setting, which gave me a perfectly crispy, browned top with a slightly chewy center- just how I like it.The slots are nice and wide with plenty of space for various types of bread. Unlike my old toaster, this one offers more functionality but doesn't appear to have a crumb tray. I don't mind this much since crumb trays that suddenly pop out can be crazy startling. This design feels safer while maintaining the same simple operation.The sleek, dark finish blends well with my other countertop appliances and works perfectly for my needs.

I wiped down this toaster on outside and on the inside and as far as I could reach before using. The toaster gave off a new smell with the first few uses. It took several uses before the smell burned off the coils. The toaster is easy to use. I like having the option to toast bagels with the wider opening. I use it for toast and have used it for hamburger buns. Love not having to warm up my oven. It has a retro look to it. The color matches my other countertop appliances. Very happy with this item.

What a nice little retro toaster! It's small enough that it doesn't take up much space on my counter, but the slots are big enough to handle big bagels and thick cut bread. With 6 settings you can get your toast just the way you like it from light to crispy. It has a slide out drawer a the bottom for easy cleaning. The black color is sleek and matches my other appliances. At $45 it's a decent value for the money.

The toaster performs well and looks fantastic in person. Its color is sleek, glossy, and the chrome features a mirror-like finish. Weighing just 2.8 pounds, it's not heavy. Besides offering adjustable browning levels, it includes a defrost button to extend the time for frozen bread and a bagel button to reduce the toasting time. The cancel button lights up during operation, which is a nice touch. However, one area for improvement is the visibility of the temperature dial; the black-on-black position marker is difficult to see.
