I bought this as a gag gift for a buddy and he absolutely loved it for three gun competitions, the 10 rounds are very nice for people who do not like to have the box pouches.Personally using this thing it's very finicky when first using it but after time it was very amazing to have and and taking some advice from another review is that you can slap a velcro shell holderAnd quick tip, do not put all the shells in the same way you need to put them in each facing a different way, if you put them all in with the brass facing the same it will get stuck and jam mostly just because of the way the shells are situated in the ammo pal

I’ll start by saying that for the price, it’s worth getting. I was in a hurry and needed a next day solution for a day training at the range. Materials are pretty standard and in line with the price (yes they feel cheap) and I did notice an issue with getting the shells in and out. Tolerances were incredibly tight, I didn’t like how hard I had to pull on the shells so I dremmeled down the nubs and also the claw portions that grip the shell (see pics) and it made it much easier to access them. Downside may be that normal wear & tear after this mod, will make it too loose to hold the shells at all anymore but time will tell. Also, avoid removing the screws that hold it together as they thread directly into the thin plastic. I would purchase it again if I had to and would love this to be made of better materials, but the price would double to say the least.

For 2 3/4 in shells .shells may release hard so i used a rotary tool on the underside of the hold down tabs . Now its as it should be. much smoother.

Poor quality, seam down the middle that flexes and cracked. Worked great out of box and a week later the second time I touched it the same shells were no longer cycling and it cracked. Fantastic idea but this is what I’d expect from a hobby 3D printer. If you’re after looking cool then this is for you but I’d never depend on it to feed me shells that I needed.

I bought this for 3 gunning to either use as a backup shotsaver, or as a repository for slugs if needed so I do not shoot slugs at a non-slug target and get DQ'dPros:Price point - For the $20+ dollars I paid for it, it is worth tryingShot retention - Keeps the 2 3/4 shells both shot and slug in place securly. Nothing popped outShot access - Even though the retention is good, getting a shell out was fast and easy. Took a bit of getting used to since it comes out the side and not the top.Meh:Build quality - For $20 I am not expecting huge quality, and I haven't dropped or rolled on it, but will probably hold up with moderate useAdjustability - You can move the clips up and down to adjust how high you want it to sit. I worry about these clips breaking after a while.Clip quality - They seem solid, but not sure how it will hold up to multiple clippings and unclippingsCons:Fit - The clips will NOT fit over my current rig/belt. I use an Alpha Academy belt with an inner and outer velcro belt. It does not clip over the thick outer belt, I have to clip it to a pocket. Which is ok for my purpose, but if you want it on a belt, make sure your belt is fairly thin.Overall, reasonably satisfied with this from a function and quality perspective for what I paid.

No negative feedback. It’s good for 2 3/4 shells only.

Cool design and working for my 12 gauge rounds so far. HOWEVER, I had to sand down the back molle attachment points to even fit. Maybe this is more so meant for a belt? Nothing a minute with a Dremel couldn't fix though.

The mfg states that retention should be fine, but you can file down the "teeth" on this unit to adjust it. 1) Filing is a one way operation, so it's not really adjustable 2) I basically had to grind 1 tooth down flat and the other to a bare nub to have the faintest hope of pulling a shell out.Additionally, the mfg states that it can be worn on a belt. This might be true on paper, but the clips are clearly designed for MOLLE. The only way I was able to get this to fit on a belt was to remove the clip, attach it to my belt, and then snap the unit into place. It does not do wonders for my confidence.I will be retaining this unit to run at some courses, and if my opinions change I will update this review.
