I got this collar for my Labrador Retriever Service Dog (SD) for work. What I initially liked about this collar is how wide it is. It is truly 2" wide and i was impressed that it is 5/16" thick, yes I measured. The collar being 2" wide is important to me because it will evenly distribute any type of pressure. The second important feature is the handle. No matter what collar we use in public it must have a handle and that handle must be accountable. This collars handle is thick and sturdy. It is box-stiched onto the collar making it secure, this type of stitching is not common on collars because of the extra time and expense for the manufacturer. The entire collar is stitched with quality and craftsmanship. All of the hardware is stainless-steel and very hefty! There is no worrying that the hardware is going to fail. The D-ring is 1/4" thick stainless-steel, I have never owned or actually even seen a collar with that thick of hardware. The material the collar is made of is waterproof insuring that it does not trap odors and start to stink. It also makes it really easy to clean if need be.This collar will become my SD's new daily work collar. I have heard great things about Spark Dog and their products. I expect that this collar will out live my SD. I am beyond impressed and happy with this collar.
