I love a generous bowl for soup, stew, pasta - whatever. These are great, fit nicely in my hand and have some heft. You should know that staub ceramics aren't made in France ... (China) if that's important to you.

These are great bowls for 32 oz size needs. The width is great for cereal, and microwaving various foods.I looked at an incredible number of reviews before selecting these, and the features that made this great are perfect glazing, perfect color (red), no flaws at all in the ceramic, and the unique item for me is the sound they make with utensils.My family seems to constantly slam their utensils into their bowls, but these bowls don't ring loud or long and they don't "scrape" when using a spoon or fork to get the food out.My previous stoneware bowls were super loud, which I didn't think about until I read reviews that let me know there were quieter options.These cleanup very easy, they microwave without getting hot until the food inside eventually warms the outside, and they haven't had a scratch in them in the month we've been using them.I'm very happy with them even though they cost more than other options.

These are very high quality stoneware bowls and perfect for soups, stews, cereal, oatmeal or any meal. Very well made and absolutely beautiful. If you want stoneware this is what you need. Very easy to clean.
