Spectacular earplugs that are adaptable to most circumstances requiring hearing protection. Whether you need hearing protection in the woodshop, at concerts, around power tools, when vacuuming, doing the lawn...you name it, these work great. The detachable cord is a clever touch which eliminates the "feedback" noise that resonates into your eardrums when the cord rubs against your neck whilst turning your head.===== ADVICE FOR BUYERS =====1) It is absolutely critical that you purchase the right size. IMO, the sizes run small. The medium size is much smaller than I anticipated. I wear 'youth'-size baseball caps and small mens t-shirts, yet surprisingly am a large in these earplugs. It is the only product I've ever purchased that I'm a 'medium' in. If you buy ones that are too small, they'll fail to provide adequate hearing protection and may even be uncomfortable to wear.2) If you're using them for concerts or want to maintain a discreet appearance ---> get the clear ones===== PROS =====- Adaptable to numerous hearing protection needs- Clear ones blend in well so you don't look like a dork at concerts- Removable neck strap allows you to keep them discreetly hidden + prevents it from getting caught on your respirator- Removable cap on them allows you to hear conversation while still providing hearing protection from loud noises (e.g., you can still enjoy a concert and hear the music without exiting with ringing ears===== CONS ======Seller was unresponsive ton Amazon exchange request for the correct size (I ordered a second pair, but purchased the wrong size)- Would be nice if it had a braided cloth cord to eliminate the resonated feedback from when it rubs against your neck- They get tangled up together if you wear them around your neck. Can be distracting if you're trying to use a power tool and very quickly need to pop them in your ears- Slight learning curve getting them in, but this is quickly overcome once you've used them for a while===== OVERALL IMPRESSION =====Wonderful product. Wish seller was responsive to exchange request. Order a size larger than you think you need. Fantastic hearing protection and the removable cap makes it so that you aren't oblivious when someone talks to you (i.e, you can still hear them and then turn on a power tool without having to fuss with putting in/taking out your earplugs)

I've been playing in hard rock bands for almost 15 years now. I've used the foamies that are great if you're just trying to protect your ears, but they kill the sound. I've used the earplugs sold at guitar shops with the little tube sticking out that lets some of the sound in, and while they definitely sound better than foam earplugs, they only seem to come in one size: TOO BIG. I can't wear them for very long without intense discomfort. The tune also sticks out too far and looks awkward.THESE, on the other hand, and hands down THE BEST EARPLUGS I HAVE EVER USED!!! Once they're in, I can barely feel them. It doesn't seem to attenuate the highs significantly more than the lows (the muffly sound earplugs are known for). Surely a little, but I can hear what everyone around me is saying with total clarity. I can be standing right next to the drummer, inches from a crashing cymbal without it being too loud, and I can still hear the floor monitors just fine. I bought the clear pair, and they are barely noticeable, and have a much more professional appreance than the guitar shop earplugs. If you are a musician or avid concert-goer, buy these. Protect your ears, and enjoy the music for many more years

I got these earplugs (size large) because I commute by motorcycle and read an article about sustained wind noise damaging hearing. I have tried some cheaper ear plugs and found them uncomfortable. These are very comfortable, fit well in my helmet and they are not as quiet as the soft disposable kind, which I like. I can still hear what's going on around me, but its muffled enough that it is not damaging my hearing. The base sounds seem to get through better, which makes my bike sound very cool and tough. All in all, good earplugs. Now I just have to remember to put them in every time.

seems to be good quality so far, i've had them for about 6 months and they are still in good shape and i still use them.I am a mechanic and i'm in a shop most of the day with an impact next to my ear and other loud and annoying noises all day. I still need to be able to answer a phone periodically during the day as well which can be hard when your ears are ringing from using a 1/2 inch impact most of the day. that is the main reason i bought these ear plugs, here are my thoughtsNEGATIVES are that they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, people are constantly asking you "what kind of music are you listening to?", they can be hard to get adjusted to fit your ear, and lastly the little plastic plug that is supposed to block out all noise doesn't do much and can be a pain to insert.POSITIVES are they do work like the add says, loud sounds are blocked while low tones (like peoples voices) aren't, i've been able to answer the phone with them in as well because of their low profile design, they are adjustable, so they can be made to fit your ear better, and they do last as long if not longer than they say they dooverall they work as intended and i will be buying another pair, when i need them. next time i might try a smaller size and they may be more comfortable to wear all day

These are extremely comfortable and easy to travel with. It’s hard to find good hearing protection, so here are a few thoughts: Don’t sleep in these. Even though they only come out a small distance from your ear, leaning on them and pressing them deep into your ear canal is a bad idea. Second, these don’t totally silence the world. Watching “New Girl” at a normal hearing volume (so as to not disturb the downstairs neighbor), I can understand Jess’ dialogue but most of the men are muffled. These work great for concerts, construction, and firing ranges. I’m super happy with them and will keep them on hand.

Please don't waste your money on these. I spent way too long trying to insert them in my ears. And when in, they offered less protection than using your fingers. They went straight in the bin.

I highly recommend this hearing protection if you’re going the non-custom route. They fit great and have the extra filter available. Also works great as security headset ear piece replacement for those tiny “buds”
