Used for a hall closet door in a 1950 house I bought a few years ago. The original closet door was always left open because of a musty smell. This has really helped. It was delivered as promised & undamaged. I ordered the more narrow 28"x80" size. The door was in a cardboard carton and the corners protected. The attached photo of the door (red labeling on upper corner) was how I found the door packaged inside of the cardboard carton. I had a handyman cut the hole for the knob and hang it for me. He took it down & I used Rust-Oleum's Marine Spar Varnish to coat it. I did 4 coats. The louvers are prone to drips so I recommend placing the door on its side to coat the louvers and then put on sawhorses to coat the flat parts. Be mindful of drips while coating or you'll have a lot of sanding to do to remove them later. Don't be in a hurry if you are going to use varnish & you'll be glad you did. Louver doors tend to collect dust which is why I wanted varnish instead of just slapping white paint on it.I gave it a month to be dry enough to handle & had the handyman come back & reinstall the knob & new hinges I bought (the scale on this door was different than the original door). He rehung the door for me.The door was pricey at $314 (when I first started researching them (pre pandemic) they ranged around $200 but I am very glad I purchased this. It is a nice quality door. Happy to not have an open door in my hallway and it did turn out very nice.

Love the door. Not only is it solid and beautiful but it gives great ventilation to the area under the stairs. It does require a carpenter to create the holes for the knobs and gaps for the hinges and to saw it to the correct length, and a painter to stain. We were doing renovations, so threw it into the mix.

I’m restoring a 1950’s home which has louvered doors on all the closets and want to retain the 50’s look. These high quality doors will do the job nicely. I got them faster than the big box home improvement stores could get them to me and am very pleased with them.

I haven’t installed the doors yet, but they look great. They appear to be lumber core with pine veneer. This means they are much less likely to warp, since the grain of the core is going in different directions. I was especially impressed by the way they were packaged: each door in a plastic bag, then a layer of foam on both sides, then the cardboard box. Also, each corner was protected with a plastic corner and each edge was protected with a strip of plywood. Nicely done! I’m happy with them and I’m sure the customer will be, as well.

I was very surprised the quality of this door. Just as good if not better from had or Lowe’s! It came fast also! Customer was very pleased with door! It was half the cost of a quote I got from hoods discount doors. Great! Will buy more in the future!

Surprised how well it did in shipping. Only a minor ding. Could have stained it but painted to match others. Good quality, good price, quick shipping. Not sure I can give it a negative.
