AVERY TRAC-LOC PUSH POLE

CDP's Onceagain habit of purchasing

I am very impressed with the feel of the Avery Trac-Loc Push Pole - Green that I purchased. The closed length is just at 52", with lock buttons to push to extend the pole to 115", about 9'-7". With the Avery Waterfowlers Paddle Attachment it is 11'-3", pleanty of reach for pushing off or reaching out to snag a line. With the bottom section of the pole pulled back closed to use the pole with two sections out, it is 8'-5". The Heft of the pole really shows it's strength, you will feel it when you hold the pole, using the two rubber black hand grips, which have a diameter over 1-3/4" and covered with a raised and rounded surface for gripping the pole; one at the base which has a loop of line and the mid pole grip, correctly positioned for holding the pole. Good design here. The locking buttons appear to be brass and have fairly strong spring resistance to hold them in position. Did I mention, it is a dark olive green, not an Army green, but that's OK. This is a nice adjustable push-pole and I recommend it to those needing one at a reasonable price-30$.The optional Outdoors 3 in 1 Waterfowlers Paddle Attachment is available for a reasonable cost of 15$. I wanted to have a push-pole paddle on my Bay boat and an ability to snag lines from the deck, which is off the water about a foot and a half. This is a good quality product combined with the adjustable push-pole. I won't be snagging decoys, but it will come in handy for crab traps, paddling, pushing off of a bank, fishing trash out of the water (yes I grab litter out of the water most trips out) and swatting alligators. Well, I probably won't have to swat alligators, but I see them out on a regular basis. This pole and paddle combination is strong enough to snag a wire trap and dislodge it from the bottom with out breaking. It is very sound in design, thick heavy duty plastic. I recommend this product. Nice green color that is easily lost in the greenry of the lawn. The closed Pole and paddle together is 70", compact enough to go in the crew cab and reasonably sized for the deck.

Great pole, very sturdy despite being telescoping. Accidentally lost a brass push button when changing attachments and called the company to ask about buying just the little brass button and they were extremely helpful and got me squared away quickly and for next to nothing. Highly recommend.

Works great with Marsh Foot attachment. Compact when collapsed, extends easy and locks secure. Stainless hardware should give it long life. So far I've used it to push my boat thru shallow ditches and creek branches where trolling motor wouldn't operate. Doesn't bend or flex even with all my weight on it trying to get my boat off bottom.

This a very good Push Pole for the price. The aluminum is heavy gauge, the ducks foot t fit perfectly. The Trac-Loc seems to work very well. My only concern is how it will perform (telescope) after it gets some saltwater and sand on it. So far it seems spot-on.

I want to give this pole 5 stars but can't. It is sturdy AF! Well built, coated week to percent rust.. checks all the points you would need from a push pole. My only gripe is mine was either damaged in shipping or manufacturing. The last pole is warped just enough that it doesn't collapse all the way. It's a small issue but also prevents it from being opened and collapsed efficiently or effectively making storage and deployment a task. Otherwise this is a 5 star product!

Even though there were problems with the shippers. The seller made every attempt to make it right and I love the product.

Nice Heavily built pole. Largest(outside)pole Dia. is 1-1/2". Pole is "grooved" around its entire circumference(lengthwise), eliminating the inner pole segments from twisting out of alignment(when buttons are released),thus making you have to hunt for the push-buttons to line back up with their matching holes, like on other equipment that I've used. Pole with attachment added is just over 5' in length,(when totally retracted) but will still mount nicely on the inner sidewall of my 14' jon boat, using rubber molded kayak paddle/push-pole mounts that you can find on any kayak site, or on Ebay.

First time we needed it because we were hung up, it collapse on itself and later had to use another pipe to separate. Locking mechanism for the section fails and will leave you stranded. Waste of money. Get a solid pole not a telescoping one
