This scope is a great fit for my T/C Contender. Glass is excellent for the price, and the Rainguard coating is indispensable in the humid area that I am living! You could pay more for the Burris or Leupold scopes which may have a bit better optical quality, but considering this is a handgun scope I doubt you would ever be able to tell a difference, unlike on a rifle.

I was assured by Bushnell in advance of my purchase both in an email and then by phone that this scope would handle heavy recoil from an Encore pistol in a 7MM-08 caliber. After mounting it and beginning the sight-in process it was not holding zero. I switched the scope to a rimfire caliber and it seems to be okay.NO more Bushnell's for me!

The optics are very clear all through the magnification range, but the eye relief is too long, probably 14-16" would have been perfect. I have an older Bushnell rifle scope there is no comparison the newer scope has much clearer glass.As far as holding zero on a 44 magnum Super Redhawk, so far so good. I was looking for a 4x but decided to try this one. I am impressed with the clarity of the glass and the eye relief does not appear to change through the magnification range. If I was shooting my 9.5" SRH with one hand like Dirty Harry, It would be great. But for me I don't like to extend my arms out fully when shooting. But will probably hunt off of a rest, as I shoot more with this set up will see how my comfort level goes. I will update this review after I shoot more rounds through this set up.Pros:Good clear opticsEasy to set up. used my stock Ruger 1" rings with it.Appears to handle 44 Magnum recoil well, haven't shot too many hunting rounds yet.Good value for the dollar.Looks good on my revolverCons:The eye relief of 20 " is a bit excessive for my application.

I put it on a 460 mag and whacked a deer at 150yds....with a pistol. Shot maybe 100 rounds and have not had to readjust the crosshairs.
