I have been using this type of red dot sight for over twenty years and they have greatly improved. This sight is well built from aluminum and should last on any rifle or handgun. The single red dot is nice and round and very sharp. The image through the sight window has no distortion and can be made bright enough for bright sunny day use. The best feature on this sight is the shake and awake feature. You do not need to turn off the sight once you have turned the sight on. The sight will automatically go into sleep mode when not in use until the sight detects any very slight shaking movement and then turn on. The sight must be out of the holster to turn on by the shake and awake function. The battery will last the average person for several years and is very easy to replace without removing the sight. The sight comes with a weaver style rail mount or a mount for your handgun model can be purchased. In my testing and sight in procedure I like to test to see if the dots windage and elevation adjustments track true. I will adjust these adjustments to the far left, right, up and down and back again to see if the dot will track back true the the initial starting point. A lot of cheaper quality dot sights will deviate quite a bit and this will cause sight in errors. I am pleased to report that this sight tracked very true. The only feature that would make this sight better is if you could choose between different dot reticle types.

…..then I would say this is a very decent value for the price.It is very cleanly machined, has a good finish, and functions correctly. I had an unusual experience when removing the small piece of plastic that shields the battery before use. Opened the battery compartment (the threads were a bit gritty, but it opened easily), removed the plastic, reinstalled the cover and nothing? I actually read the instructions, so I knew the battery was properly placed. Removed the cover, reinstalled it, and everything was functioning correctly.So far there have been no issues, and of course I have no way to determine if the 60,000 hour battery life is true without a long test period, but other than the initial hiccup it seems to work beautifully.The lens is clear with no distortion, the mounting clamp is a spring loaded design, and the packaging and instructions are quite good (no Engrish!).Honestly, I would never rely on it for a duty weapon, but at this price point and with the evident quality I would say these are a great choice.
