My son bought a used 1894 carbine (mfr. in 1974) which was missing the sight hood. Although I told him it didn't really need the hood to be a good shooter (which it is) hwe wanted to purchase one to complete the "look". Got it from Numrich and it fits and looks fine (I know some previous purchasers feel it is cheaply made but we found it to be of good quality). If you need one and don't want to spend a lot of time hunting down what you need (or pay inflated prices on ebay) try one of these!

I purchased a used Winchester 94 and the sight hood was missing from it. I ordered this sight hood hoping it would fit like a factory piece and it has. I am very pleased with the sight hood, it appears to be as good as the sight that originally sold with the rifles from the factory.

I picked up a pre 64 Winchester 94 in .32 Spl. that was missing it's sight hood. This fit perfectly and looks great.An expert might tell the difference from original, but I couldn't.

The hood is well made and probably works well for whatever rifle it is designed for. Too short for my 1981 Winchester 94 30-30. When installed, the front sight post almost touches the inside of the hood. Do not base your purchase off of the description. Does not fit all post 64 model 94's. Measure your front sight post before ordering. I wish I did.

This sight hood fits snug, but not too tight. Only slight tapping is required to slide it on. The diameter is perfect to fit over the sight blade that has a brass bead. I am very satisfied with this product.

Arrived damaged. Shipped in a padded envelope. It should be shipped in a small box to prevent being crushed and deformed. Additionally, it would not install on a 1977 Winchester 1894 with fixed (non-removable) front sight ramp though it was advertised that it would fit. The sidewalls are not tall enough. This may fit "Ranger" models or late model 94's but it IS NOT a universal fit front sight hood for all post-64, 1894 Rifles. Buyer beware. I returned the damaged part and requested a refund.
