This is amazing stuff. I wanted to liquid cool a 'new to me' 7900XT but was dreading having to deal with thermal pads on the VRAM. With cards in the past, I've always had trouble figuring out the right thickness of pad. If Pads are too thin, it won't contact the block and if too thick, you'll possibly create a gap over the GPU die. Outside of that, I also hate cutting and working with thermal pads. They always get stuck to my tools or I drop them and get dust/hair stuck in them. All my ranting on thermal pads aside, this putty is life changing. What was once a painful and lengthy project, took a few minutes and was super easy. just generously spread across the VRAM and squish the waterblock down. It's non-conductive so it doesn't matter what all the excess squishes into.

Performance wise, this seems to be very competitive with the more expensive stuff. It gets you close enough, that the money saved is a real consideration. This thermal putty is quite soft. It’s also nice and tacky. Tacky enough that you can hand roll it without it sticking to you.I assume you understand what this is for. This is for thermal pad replacements (VRAM, VRMs) or something like an NVME drive.

If you find yourself often repasting your chips, building watercooled systems, mounting air coolers, you basically have 2 options. You can simply use whatever piddly tube of putty that comes in the box, and hope that it's actually usable, and not all dried up sitting in some warehouse for years. Or you can grab yourself something like this - a 100-gram tub of some very good thermal compound. It comes with a couple of spatulas, nice consistency, easy to apply, easy to clean up.

Ever buy a 5 gallon jar of mayonnaise from a club store and think I'll never need more? This is the same thing. So much thermal paste you will probably never need to buy it again. It's high quality thermal paste in a bulk size. Spreads great and forms a good bound between chips and heatsinks.

This is really good putty it's nice and easy to mold and cover structures. There's plenty of spatulas which you can never have enough and the jar has plenty of putty. Temperature wise it's pretty impressive there's a noticeable difference in benchmarks versus stock paste that I replaced and seems very consistent even during heavy works loads.
